Location Shooting
Product styling on location can require a high degree of advance preparation and planning and varies from selecting a few carefully chosen soft furnishings and accessories to an everything-but-the-kitchen-sink approach depending upon the demands and appeal of the product. Lateral thinking and improvisation are often called upon to make the shoot a success, together with an intuitive sense of what will work and what won’t.
Whilst I have been privileged to work with household names such as Tesco and the White Company, it has given me equal pleasure to work with bespoke local brands like the South Sands Hotel.
Both the clients and I were thrilled with the result of this lifestyle shoot showcasing the beach-front location of this stunning South Hams boutique hotel. The aim was to capture the feel of a luxurious, lazy summer picnic by the water. In reality, it was a brisk, chilly day with, on occasion, a wildly rocking boat to contend with! Ah, the glamour of it all …
